A walk in the woods....

Just a short walk from the south shore of Lake Wenatchee, the Hidden Lake trail is a lovely walk in the woods.

There are two starting points for the Hidden Lake trail Head, this time we tried the shorter walk that begins a little further up the road.

Daytrips

Daytrippin...spring is here and I can't wait to do some daytrip's from Poofy's. Wenatchee is on my list, this year is the 97th  Apple Blossom Festival. The festival runs April 28-May 8th.

These lovely's are from a very old tree in our backyard. 

Best of both worlds...

The snow has melted and spring has arrived at Poofy's Paradise. My husband and the kids had yet another fabulous day at Stevens pass and I had a lovely walk into town.

A lovely weekend, putting away the sleds and pulling out the chairs.

While it was pouring rain and blowing a gale in Seattle the sun was shining on Poofy's.

Bedazzled at Bavarian Ice Fest

After a powder filled day of snowboarding at Stevens, we decided to head into Leavenworth for dinner. As soon as we opened the door, we were greeted by deep booms in the sky. 

Then more booms. Boom, boooom, boom!

Followed by color. Oh so very much color.

And after all the dazzle, we went to our favorite pizza place, Idle Wild for some wood fired pizza. Order the Delancey. Always, order the Delancey.

Walking in a Winter Wonderland...

Before heading out i needed to test out the new milk frother my sister got me for Christmas. 

Ready to take the snowshoes out for a spin, thanks Santa!

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow

My routine of late is to wake up,  look outside and notice the clean fresh new snow.

Next, I groggily check the Stevens Pass snow report on my phone. Then I stumble into the shower. Feeling more alive, I shake the kiddos awake while broadcasting the new fresh that fell. Today, it was another 14 inches. This number is key to getting the kids to move. After slapping all our gear together, we roll outside and get to work loading the boards, and clearing off the car.

Then we cruise to Stevens Pass, and for the first few runs, we catch some low hanging fruit powder.

As the day passes, and the in bounds gets tracked, we do a little hike, and the fresh tracks start all over again.

Life is good.
