Cozy Vacation Rental With Sauna Leavenworth

Having more time at Poofys this year has been a blessing. 

I love having the time to add some cozy small touches.

My husband I are both artists, you'll find our work through out the house. As well as things we've collected on our travels.

I can't wait to decorate for the holidays. Once upon a time Poofys had a small christmas tree farm. We always have a fresh tree from the yard over the holidays.

Local road trips for Fall colors, Plain to Leavenworth

From HWY 2 , take the left hand turn at Coles Corner and follow the signs to Plain. You can pull out just before the river onto River rd. check out the footbridge that crosses the Wenatchee River. Continue over the real bridge to Plain. Get Lunch at the Old Mill Cafe and  coffee and some overalls at Plain Hardware and take the Chumstick Hwy to Leavenworth. this is where you'll want to wander down the side roads for some gorgeous country roads.

We are taking advantage of school and work from home with some quality time at Poofy's.  My camera roll is overloaded with pictures of gorgeous fall color. Here's s a few.

Horseback Riding in Leavenworth

It is my favorite time of the year. I took advantage of a midweek stay at Poofys to go horseback riding  with Wild At Heart Horseback Rides. 

Erin is a very knowledgeable guide and her horses are gentle. It's great for all levels.

I did the 2 hour alpine ride.

The leaves were just starting to change.

Bike rides in Plain

A leisurely afternoon exploring the local trails. It was hot, I was feeling lazy but there is no excuse when this is pretty much out the front door.

The Upper Lazy Horse Trail did get my heart rate up with a couple of short climbs.
 

Where to Float down a river in Leavenworth

When the temperatures hit 100 there is only one thing to do, pick a spot to drop into the river.

Leavenworth does not disappoint.

Lake Wenatchee, also a good choice.

Drop into the Wenatchee river at the bridge in Plain and pop out at Ponderosa. Or Jump in at Mosquito flats, between mile marker 16 and 17 on the Beaver valley road for a longer float and jump out at the bridge.

Summer Vacation Rentals in Leavenworth

Our summer calendar is open for bookings. Our acreage and gorgeous patio make it easy to stay safe and be on vacation. Explore the local trails, float the Wenatchee river, visit Lake Wenatchee, ride bikes or just sit back and read a book. We are taking precautions and making sure there are a few days between rentals as well sanitizing and deep cleaning before each new booking.

Visit Leavenworth, Hiking and Biking Trails

I am getting some good spring rides in this year. The skihill trail in Leavenworth is a fun one! The uphill is challenging but well layed out with switchbacks, feels good to get your legs working.

Plenty of opportunities to stop for the view...

I love a surprise Christmas tree!

I'm a bit of a chicken, so I had to walk this part. Trail drops off on BOTH sides...
