I never get tired of the drive on Hwy 2.

I was driving on my own and finally pulled over for coffee at the espresso Chalet and the best view of Mt. Index.

Minutes before this photo my husband had texted me to say the pass is clear!!! Minutes later, I was in the middle of the last storm of the season.  

 

Spring in Leavenworth

Its early Spring and we're waiting for the mud to dry up before we can hit the trails. Plenty of snow on the

mountains! If you find yourself here mid-week, Leavenworth is perfect for exploring. You'll have the town to yourself.

Grab some lunch and have your pick of outdoor tables. 

Coffee and shopping...everyone had their doors wide open, lots of airflow...

Check out Posy Handpicked, Its my favorite! lots of lovely treasures from mostly women owned businesses. Small batch, or handmade. I always leave with something.

Poofys has a fibre optic wifi for a pretty speedy connection. There's a nice desk and office chair set-up upstairs. I have a card table I like to set up in the bedroom for painting. The light coming in from both windows id perfect for my "work from home" set up.

25km of groomed classic and skate...7km of snowshoe trails...kids ski free!!!!!

I usually park at the lot off the Chiwawa loop rd., just 2 miles from Poofy's and then ski  towards  the woods of Thousand Trails.

Gotta go, the trails are calling me!

I can't wait to decorate for the holidays. Once upon a time Poofys had a small christmas tree farm. We always have a fresh tree from the yard over the holidays.
