Local Restaurants
There's a new restaurant in town and I am looking forward to doing some research. Wildflour is located at Kahler Glen golf course, Lake Wenatchee, just 10 minutes from Poofy's!
I highly recommend happy hour.

Spring getaways in Leavenworth
I just can't resist the flower photos this time of year. Now I need to find out just what we have blooming!
These are so delicate and have popped up in a few places close to the house.
Love my macro lens!
Along the driveway and along the roadsides on the way to Poofy's, summer is on its way.
A favorite shot from last spring. The irises are should be blooming next week!

Spring time in Leavenworth...
Its spring time in Leavenworth! The wild flowers are starting to pop up on the trails and soon they'll be blooming at the cabin. Here's a few shots from last spring.....
I planted some more Irises, not sure what color they will be...
Marked out a walking trail to explore around Poofy's...
Welcome to Poofy's Paradise!

A walk in Shugart Flats
Sometime in the fall new neighbors moved in on the other side of Shugart flats.
This guy always comes over to say hi.
Th rest of the gang on a sunny winter morning.
...and a snowy winter morning.
This is Freddie...
Its free-range dogs in Shugart Flats, Freddie is always up for a stroll.
Uma and Freddie are friends, really...

Best sleds
Two weeks ago it was looking a lot like spring. Not any more, winter is back. We had over 2 feet of fresh snow fall over mid-winter break and it was FUN! A big thanks to our last guests for putting in a super fast banked sledding chute through the trees. We worked on the the long run and tested all our sleds.
We have a sweet wooden classic, a foam snowboogie and a basic plastic.
I love the wooden classic....
Our sled retriever preferred the lightness of the plastic sled.
The snowboard is essential for getting the sledding run groomed and fast.
The winner turned out to be the plastic, for control, speed and flexibility.
