DIY, refinishing table and chairs

Its been fun getting Poofy's Paradise decorated and ready for guests. Here's a couple of the projects.

 

The table and chairs were left behind when we purchased Poofy's, perfect for a little DIY project. I usually like to use what I have on hand, so the turquoise paint went on a few things but I bought the green paint to tie into the Mexican tile hearth.

All that brown was so dark and depressing. I wanted to bring out the warmth of the wooded floors and walls so painting the table and chairs really brightened up the whole space.

The small side table and chairs move around season to season.

Old Mill Cafe

While the kids were sleeping in, we slipped away for breakfast at The Old Mill Cafe. The new owners have kept all the charm and added a whole lot of deliciousness to the menu! I am looking forward to trying lunch and dinner on the next visit.

Winter get-aways

We had a beautiful mid-winter break at Poofy's. While the rest of family was up at Stevens I played on the local cross country and skate ski trails.

Saddest day of the week is when we have to go home. Poofy's has a vacancy this weekend. Lots of fresh snow at Stevens....

We had some friends join us at Poofy's over the MLK long weekend. Perfect opportunity to check out the scenery around Plain.

Winter Wonderland

I forgot to hit the "publish button" on my December post!

The snow has arrived turning Poofy's Paradise into a winter wonderland once again. Light fluffy powder fell from the sky all weekend. I can't wait to get back.
