Nestled in Plain, WA, Poofys is perfectly positioned between Leavenworth and Lake Wenatchee, making it an ideal home base for exploring the valley. We’re especially grateful to Washington State Department of Transportation for getting Highway 2 open ahead of schedule—thank you, WSDOT! Even with lighter snowfall this year, this area is absolutely worth the trip.
Leavenworth’s Holiday Lights shine through the end of February, and the mix of mountain views, quiet roads, and cozy cabin life makes any season here special. Poofys sits on acreage, offering space, privacy, and calming views from every window—perfect for slowing down and resetting.
A Perfect Weekend Might Look Like This
Arrive, unpack, and settle in. Grill dinner at home, then ease into the weekend with a sauna to melt away the week. Later, cuddle up by the fire with a good book or choose from one of our board games for a relaxed night in.
Saturday Morning
Wake up slowly and make waffles at home—we’ve got the waffle iron ready. Brew your coffee just the way you like it with your choice of French press, Italian moka pot, or drip. No rush. This is cabin time.
Late Morning & Afternoon
Take the scenic Chumstick Highway into Leavenworth, allowing plenty of breaks for photos along the way. Make a quick stop at Plain Hardware for the best local merch—and maybe another coffee.
In town, grab a hotdog, pretzel, and beer, or settle in at Yodelin for lunch. Wander the streets, enjoy the shops, and make a short list for dinner later. Before heading out of town, stroll through Riverside Park and take a drive up to the ski hill for sweeping views.
Saturday Evening
As the sun sets, enjoy Leavenworth’s magical holiday lights before heading home. After dinner, return to Poofys for a quiet evening—another sauna, a crackling fire, and deep rest.
Sunday Morning
Enjoy a slow morning with coffee at home, stop by Lake Wenatchee for a walk and then head out for brunch at The Squirrel Tree on Highway 2 before beginning your journey home.
Safe travels—and don’t forget to allow extra time for photo stops. The views are worth it.
